The gap is always the same.
The form changes. The sector changes. The size of the organization changes. But the gap, between what an organization is and how it shows up, is always the same problem.
I have always filled this role.
It started on a soccer field. I played Division I college soccer, and I was not the fastest or the biggest player out there. What I was good at was reading the situation: understanding the full shape of a moment before it developed, finding the right position before the ball arrived, making everyone around me better.
But I have come to understand that soccer was just where I first noticed it. That same instinct has shown up everywhere I have been. In my family. In my friendships. In the organizations I have led and the teams I have built. I am drawn to the gaps, the places where something is needed but no one has named it yet. And I move toward them.
Brand strategy is that same work at an organizational level. Not volume. Not speed. The ability to read what is actually happening, find the gap, and move into it before anyone else has named it. That is what I bring to every engagement.
More than a decade building organizations from the inside.
I built Sonate on more than a decade of experience leading teams, building systems, and guiding organizations through growth and change across nonprofit, corporate wellness, sports technology, and community-based settings.
I work with collaborators who bring coaching, clinical practice, project management, and organizational development to every engagement. We understand how people process information, make decisions, and respond to the organizations they encounter. That understanding shapes every messaging framework, every brand voice guide, and every piece of work we deliver.
The work is grounded in a single conviction: a brand that holds is not built from the outside in. It is built from the inside out.
Start wherever you are.
If you want to see how we read your brand before you commit to anything, start with the Signal. If you already know you want to work together, let’s talk.

Every engagement begins with the Signal.
The diagnostic tells you where the gap lives and what it would take to close it. No obligation beyond the assessment.
